Kimteks Kimya offers a range of Thermoplastic Rubber products, including SBS, SEBS, and SIS, providing solutions that meet the diverse needs of the industry.
SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) Rubber: This synthetic rubber, classified as a thermoplastic elastomer, is produced by combining the two different monomers, styrene and butadiene, offering high flexibility and durability. We offer two types of SBS:
Oil-Extended SBS: This type of SBS includes an oil additive during production, enhancing the rubbers processing with more oil. This addition offers higher elasticity, better high-temperature resistance, lower hardness, and improved deformation properties. It’s particularly preferred in shoe sole production and the tire industry.
Non-Oil SBS: This variant is harder, more durable, and less prone to deformation, providing higher elasticity, lower viscosity, faster curing time, and reduced processing costs. Non-oil SBS is used in adhesives, sticky tapes, roof insulation membranes, asphalt modification, and plastic modification.
SEBS: Formed by adding ethylene/butadiene blocks between styrene blocks, SEBS offers better thermal stability, higher temperature resistance, increased elasticity, and durability compared to SBS. It is used in applications such as roof insulation membranes, asphalt modification, plastic modification, adhesives, and sticky tapes.
SIS: Created by adding isoprene blocks between styrene blocks, SIS rubber shares similar properties with SBS but offers higher adhesive properties and lower temperature resistance. Therefore, it’s particularly used in adhesives, sealing materials, and similar applications.
At Kimteks Kimya, our range of Thermoplastic Rubbers, including SBS, SEBS, and SIS, are engineered to meet the specific requirements of various sectors, ensuring high performance and quality.
